Coalition Manager
Position summary: The City Wide Youth Coalition, a network
of over 40 youth serving agencies throughout New Haven, is seeking a Coalition
Manager to implement the goals set forth in its work plan and manage the
Coalition's current projects.
Responsibilities:, Lead the process of organizational
expansion, Research and write grant proposals, Maintain all organizational
records, Represent CWYC at community events and meetings in order to maintain
a high profile for the Coalition, Coordinate the Coalition's subcommittees,
Work with community stakeholders on youth-related issues and develop strategies
to address and implement change to benefit community based organizations,
Work on Coalition's strategic plan and supervise the implementation of
policies and goals, Coordinate monthly meetings, board meetings, annual
events and fundraiser, Develop quarterly newsletter, Maintain
website
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft programs (including Word,
Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint). Internet savvy. Excellent communication
skills (oral and written). Grant writing. Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's
degree in related field (Master's preferred). Candidate should have a
great sense of detail and planning capabilities. Knowledge of New Haven
and youth sector. Ability to network, strategize, and build relationships.
Great visionary ability. Able to work on numerous projects simultaneously.
Must be flexible and able to attend community meetings/event after office
hours. Must be able to work independently.
