Citywide Youth
Coalition has a small organizational structure with a broad community
impact. The strength and action of this coalition depends upon active
community stakeholders. The following are brief bios of our Staff

Rachel Heerema is the executive director of Citywide Youth Coalition, with
over 15 years of non-profit management experience and strong ties within
the greater New Haven
nonprofit community. Rachel holds a Masters
degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Rachel Heerema may be reached at

Sheila McCreven is the communications specialist for Citywide Youth Coalition. She brings over 20 years of expertise in public relations and marketing, as well as wide-ranging experience serving as a community volunteer
in leadership and supporting roles. Sheila earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School
